    Video Curiosity...

While unlikey, they could've had linked Hippotizers from Green Hippo. Again, unlikely but it is what Cirque uses for 'Love'. They have 19 linked HippotizerHD's .

Broadway: Cues called or show control?

I believe the rest of the spot ops are local hires. I think only one tours with the show. And again, im assuming here, but i would think that the spot op listed is the first position who calls cues for the others. The prod. electrician is the person who orignally put the rig together for the...

Broadway: Cues called or show control?

On the Wicked National, the SM calls most cues. As for the spots, the cues are called by the spot #1 position which is usually an electrician that tours with the show, however, others can fill in that position (Head Advance Elec. for example) if the first spot is off. But it is generally...

Quickstep on ETC Obsession II ?

I assume you're referring to the Obsession 600 as the purple monster. And i agree that it is simalair to the LP90, as is the O2 but ETC added the external processor [which comes in both a single and a dual processor (in a master/slave configuration). But it doesnt matter, as ETC no longer...

    Another 360Q question

The units are not rated for 1000w FEL lamps, but the practice of lamping them with such is, in my experience, pretty standard. Also, depending on how old the 360Q is, the glass that the lens is made of is different. While i don't think that putting the newer glass and the older glass together...

    Light Plot Software?

I was simply letting charcoaldabs know that they can (and will) mess up your computer. Yes, i know i should not have mentioned it here, but did i ever say that i have done that? I have not, not would i ever. The industry is small, and i understand why software costs so much, but we all know that...

    Learn lighting?

There are plenty of internships for summer stock (mostly opera and shakespere) but unfortunatly, most (if not all) require time spent in college [either Weston Playhouse or Williamstown Theatre Festival require the completion of 2 years of college, i believe]. But i agree, community theatre...

    Light Plot Software?

Lightwright is more for plot paperwork, as opposed to creating an actual plot. But it usually talks nicely with Vectorworks and instrument numbering and creating positions and the like. Its really an essential tool to have.
