Also, this is a very early SP40. The black and white group selection buttons were replaced by toggle switches later. These toggle switches can be seen in Ron's post. The black and white buttons were prone to pop off during a fast reset (hence the missing buttons in OP's post}.

Isn't this what the Series II and the Colour Sourse are are for? They give us the choice of bells and whistles and price.
