We just got some 14's and 70's. We had a designer try to put top hats in the 70's. Yeah, doesn't work. The beam is so wide coming out that the top hat cut the beam down to about a 36. It was one of those slap yourself in the forehead moments. But the fixtures themselfs are great so far.

I find thier prices reasonable and competitive. I can find better prices for expendables elsewhere, but I got a gam check and a pin splitter from them for less then what I could get from barbizon.

toolsforstagecraft.com has the gaffers glass. The gaffers glass is expensive! $90. The glass I use I got from Lowe's for about 3 bucks.

I use a welding glass to look into the lights. Just the glass, not the whole mask. Yeah no burnt retinas!

Resumes can lie too. I've heard more horror stories about people not telling the truth on thier resumes then references not telling the truth.

I've seen that done in procenium houses and it is so cool to watch those elecs fly out! That won't work in my house though. I need the line to fly in and out with the scenic piece. Maybe if I can find a way for the retractor itself to dump into a basket and still retract the cabel. Tricky...
