    Lauan Alternative for flats

The 1/8" lauan is an even tougher one to find around these parts, and with how much it warps in our dry climate, it's usually not worth the hassle to try and wrestle it to stay flat. But I'm intrigued by this green board stuff, I've never heard of it but I'll see what I can find! Do you know...

    Lauan Alternative for flats

I just had a look and our local Home Depot has it in stock for $32/sheet, so that's a step in the right direction, not sure why it didn't show up when I was searching for this before! Wondering if anyone has had much luck with finding some cost-effective alternatives to lauan (aka luan, aka rotary mahogany). Would love to see more pictures or insights if you don't mind sharing (via PM is fine too since it's a little off topic).

Design Suggestions? Portable Jukebox needs lights

Hi all, first post after lurking for a while.I've been tasked with building a small fake jukebox prop (thinking about 3-4' high, 2' wide, 6" deep), that needs to "come alive" with light after being touched. Limited budget is a sticking point, and the director would like for it to be battery...
