gotchas for transporting a Sensor Touring rack on its “back”?

I mistyped. It is a “large” with 48 slots and 96 dimmers. We put it in the middle of the trailer because of weight distribution with eight straps on it, mostly to keep it from moving forward or aft, with a couple holding it down in case of a rollover.

Agreed that would have been a more desirable approach, but also cost prohibitive because of the mileage fees the rentals I priced wanted. The trailer ended up working fine.

gotchas for transporting a Sensor Touring rack on its “back”?

Thanks, everyone. Moved successfully and without laying it down. Not something I particularly wanted to do, but the crew I hired to help load wanted me to agree ahead of time that we would if they thought it needed to. Once they saw it they realized it was unnecessary.I haven’t messed with one...

gotchas for transporting a Sensor Touring rack on its “back”?

We’ll see how it goes. If we can secure it upright then there will be no reason to lay it down, but I want to know whether it’s an option.

gotchas for transporting a Sensor Touring rack on its “back”?

Thanks. If we have to lay it down I‘ll probably pull the transport covers off.

gotchas for transporting a Sensor Touring rack on its “back”?

it’s a “large”—24 slots / 96 2.4K dimmers.I don’t really want to, but it’s going on an open trailer and I don’t want it to tip over.I‘m pretty sure I remember nothing protrudes beyond the chassis, but not positive.

gotchas for transporting a Sensor Touring rack on its “back”?

It’s been a while since I had to move any Sensor touring racks. Can I reasonably lay one on it’s back (the cable side, not the dimmer side) for transport?

I actually bought one at USITT in Greensboro years ago, but I’d also like to find a replacement for the actual pin splitter. Thanks.

cable length distribution in rental inventory?

This must have been discussed, but I couldn’t find it.For those of you who have general rental inventory, what’s your distribution of cable lengths that goes out/gets used most often?Like, if you were going to put 10,000‘ of cable into inventory, how many of what lengths would you break it...

Vintage Lighting pre-halogen lamp types/codes for Altman 360 (radial, not Q)?

This seems you're suggesting the 500T12 is equivalent to a DNS, but it can't be--they have dramatically different diameters. I believe but am not positive the DNS is another quartz-halogen (or tungsten-halogen) lamp (actually, with the small diameter, it almost certainly is)...Thanks again for...

Vintage Lighting pre-halogen lamp types/codes for Altman 360 (radial, not Q)?

okay, so:a: is this a quartz-halogen lamp or (what? evacuated?) incandescent? b: this is a 750W lamp, which is "too hot" according to original design intent of the 360?(I searched earlier for 500T20/9 on eBay & amazon and found nothing--500T12/9 turns up one listing--we're saying the 360...

Vintage Lighting pre-halogen lamp types/codes for Altman 360 (radial, not Q)?

Sorry if this has been answered before, but I searched and didn't see it. (I also Googled, but the results are heavily skewed to the 360Q).Does anyone have a reference for the pre-halogen (i.e. not EGE/EGG) lamps that were appropriate for Altman 360s? (again, not the later 360Q)Follow-on...
