Simple solution... Spandex door.

I had to do this one a cpl of years back. I made a large vase to encase a cheap remote control model car. Ran a canvas belt around all wheels to form a belt and attached the bouquet of flowers to it. Forward, the come up, reverse they go down.

The effect is called Peppers Ghost. A flat with a window door whatever to see through. The backdrop behind can be light. Place full length piece of glass at a 45 deg angle directly behind the window. The actor stands to the side of the window in the pitch dark and unseen. Light the actor...

i often do these graphic effects using photoshop and for this one it may only take about about 5 to 10 frames to make this transition. I then make the frames into an animated gif.

New to this one.. hope it is fairly active.. I used to hang out on the newsgroup RATS but finding now it is getting loaded with spam.Been working in the industry all my life... Career is close to 50 yrs now. Worked as an Audio Engineer in Broadcast most of it.. Now I find theatre lighting...
