yeah, we have a Proplex artnet box and some cat5 running to FOH. I'm looking to run dmx into the rig for our fixtures. ideally, I would like to have access to 4 different universes in 6-8 areas.

I'm looking to add some more dmx connections in the existing rig of a church. I want to add enough to plan for the future. whats the best way to do this? are artnet nodes the best way? or just running a ton of dmx cable?

hey, guys. I'm wondering who uses RDM and what console do you use? I've never used it and I've never seen it used on a gig. can someone explain to me how it actually works and what consoles/fixtures support it?

I've always used artnet without any issues. But I'm open to using whatever protocol works best for our setup.We want the flexibility for when we do larger rigs and don't want to worry about running out of universes. So we will probably drop the distribution stuff right behind stage.

we want a proper data distribution setup. we do new stage layouts a few times a year so it has to be flexible. im also really pushing for an ARTNET box
