    Installs Intercom Re-installation

Crackles are usually an indication of bad cables. Disconnect one at a time until the crackles go away. I have thousands of feet of mic cable in a 4 channel intercom that is 15 years old and still works perfectly. Cable issues often happen from the beltpack to the wall.

    $1000 for upgrade

You have 6 hanging mics over the stage. Where are they? Just spec'd 3 for a choir and they countered with 8. After explaining more is not better, 3 was fine.Another facility had 10 (yes 10) PCC160's across the front of their 50' wide stage. When you say only 1 or 2 of the wireless work, what...

    Digital Mixer for Musical

Where are you finding an X32 for $2200? That's less than my dealer cost!

Wireless Continue with E6s or switch it up?

You can wear a B6 like an E6 but you can't wear a E6 like a B6. Also doubles as a Lav.I prefer E6 if the school does not have the budget for enough mics to cover everyone. Throw it over the ear, tape it to the cheek and of they go. A B6 takes a bit longer but is much more flexible in the...

Theatre Manager Won't Let Me Move Ion

If you know your lighting plot, you don't need to see the fixtures. You should know where they are hung and where they are focused via the plot. You are asking to move over 7K of gear just because you can't see the lighting fixture. If you drop it, are you going to pay for the repair? With it...

    Intercom Interface

I tried this before with another manufacturer and failed miserably. The wireless beltpack output all sorts of digital noise when connected to the wired.

Good for a new Sound System?

Double that and I will drive down from Ohio and put you in a nice Danley rig. Most of what has been spec'd is low end junk that might last you a few years if taken care of. If you have the funds to replace it all again in a few years, you are set to go but I surely wouldn't want to write the...

    Purchasing a new lighting console

While I love the Vista, that's A LOT of desk for what you are doing with it. The great thing about the Vistas is that they all operate and program basically the same. Your money would be better spent on a S or l3 especially if your operators are timid in any way with a desk that big. Jands will...

    Sennheiser, Audio Technica, Shure?

And the price. Definitely not a "bang for buck" system but a great system none the less.

Control/Dimming LTC SMPTE to Hog from Laptop

Timecode is just an audio track so if you have an Timecode input, it will work. Never used the Hog widgets but I would imagine they work just like any other timecode input.

    Enttec splitters

Who was your salesperson at Full Compass? I have been dealing with them for many, many years and have NEVER had an issue returning anything that was damaged or defective as long as it was within 30 days. After 30 days, I had to deal with the manufacturer and even then, They assisted. I am very...

    Jands Vista Light Show

As James mentioned, Timecode is the easiest way to do this. In our setup, I have the audio track summed to mono on one channel and a timecode track on the other (timecode is just audio) and feed the audio to FOH and timecode into the console. If you don't want to enter all of your timings...

    Sennheiser, Audio Technica, Shure?

I use and spec the AT's for all of my installs. For the price and features, they can't be beat. With them, you can do 32 simultaneous systems at a time and their RF distribution systems are very low cost. With the PGX units, they can't be used with antennae distribution systems so a big downer...

    Calling all network wiring geeks

CAT6 is also 23AWG and CAT5E is 24 so you may have issues terminating 6 with 5E connectors.

    Yamaha 01v96 V2 Aux Sends

And to the OP, get yourself a USB cable and a copy of Studio Manager and make setting changes via the computer. So much simpler and quicker.
