    Joel Rubin R.I.P.

Wat Steve said. I was fortunate enough to work for Joel for a year. A giant in the industry, and a strong promoter of USITT. I will miss him ( even if he did like mustard on his French fries)

    Lighting System Documentation recources?

You might want to check out “thelightingarchive.org”. it has designers paperwork for chorus line, lion king. As well as recordings of designers setting levels. Sounds like a great resource for what you are trying to do

Color matching between Colorsource and lustr

This thread is a good example of why you should not mix fixture types in a single system. IE don’t put a color source and a luster as front light.

    Design Bad theater infrastructure help

I would not suggest walking away. Instead just figure out what you can do with the working / safe equipment you have available. it sounds like you have some incandescent lekos. use them and ignore the moving head wash fixtures. Don’t move anything over stage ( zip ties. I shudder ). make...

Safely naming a balcony on set

Putting on my stupid hat. universe Have you considered a couple of legs on the downstage edge of your platform? Yes you loose the cantilever look, and give the otchestra something to dodge, but it is MUCH easier construction and more realistic in terms of what you would find on the “Greek...

    ETC Nomad programing tips

Another solution. Before you write cue 1.5 ( the blackout ) make cue 2 a blocking cue ( the ‘b’ key). This tells the console to write all of the current levels into cue 2. Whatever you change just prior to the cue will have no effect when you call cue 2
