    Conventional Fixtures High School Spending

Les, I think you're right. And this is my fault but that inventory should also list 16 source four fresnels. We've been making good use of those, maybe more could help. Dave, I think you're understanding me fine (better than most). When we got our newest addition to our inventory, 12 LED PARS...

Oh! and also the electrics (four of them) usually don't trim beneath 27'

    Conventional Fixtures High School Spending

That sounds like an unfortunate story. Our basic inventory looks like this: Source four ERS 86 (abundance of barrels up to 50 deg.) Source four PAR 63 (abundance of lenses from VNSP to XLFL) PAR 46 10 PAR 64 12 Single cell CYC 5 Three cell CYC 15 Scoop...

Yes we have DMX ready to connect. an ETC network node on each electric plus some extras to be placed in places when needed. Lots of XLR. That's not an issue. the stage has a ~50' plaster line and is ~40' deep (measured from apron to where we would ordinarily stop).

    Conventional Fixtures High School Spending

Hello, I've recently been given the task to research some lighting for my school. We're looking for something that accomplish good washes (zone/spot lighting not important with these) and not lose color value or intensity. Ideally it would be LED or something similar, but budget may restrict...

    Design Vectorworks symbol issue

Hello, I really need a symbol for a RBGW LED Par (I think six channels) on vectorworks. I know I can make one, but, being new to this, I don't know exactly how to give it the data' that a symbol coming from a certain manufacturer would have, the alternative to it having data is it just being a...

Looking for (approx) RGB equivalents for Gel colors

Here's what I've commonly found, because all the fixtures that use RGB values come from so many different manufacturers, your values differ from fixture to fixture from manufacturer to manufacturer. Lets use an LED PAR for example. One manufacturer will produce a LED PAR that has a certain look...

Hey, I thought we could share pictures of our shows...

Thanks! The back light was in my original plot but got cut because of time restrictions which made me very sad, so I had to make do with what I had. But yes, the foots were a bit hot.I will definitely post more pictures! I have a dance show; big huge thing our school does, needs to be HUGE in...

Hey, I thought we could share pictures of our shows...

The job definitely presents it's challenges but that's the fun! I love what I do and the beauty of it all is that there's always something new to be done, some new technology being invented (LED S4 Ellipsoidal is an example. To me, it's seems like cheating :) ) or some new color that you find...

Hey, I thought we could share pictures of our shows...

Yikes that is tough! CYC cells are the best except they take up SO MUCH SPACE on your pipe and virtually suck up all your circuits. Yes I had a down wash of LED PAR's. Very interesting to actually be in charge of for the first time instead of just hanging, powering, and addressing.

Hey, I thought we could share pictures of our shows...

My very first lighting design job at 15 years old. It was a basic choir show for my school but required 67 individual looks for the 67 different songs. Ended up with a total of 157 cues. The pictures aren't fantastic but let me know what you think!(Colors of the wind)(I'll Make A Man Out...
