The fresnel lenses on Leicas were part of the rangefinder system, not the actual picture-taking optics.- JMidd

Not until '92, when they were released. Electro-Contol's late, unlamented Parellipsphere was the intermediate step; a good idea poorly executed in manufacture.- JMidd
