Thanks for sharing those! And as much as I love old theatres, that thing looks like a death trap, can't wait to see the photos after the remodel.

I have never done it personally, but we had a guy at my high school who used to do this himself at home, I am not sure how he went about doing this, but the end result was fantastic, he has since graduated, but some of the patterns he made were amazing and I used them myself this year.

I have zero expertise in any of this, so somebody please correct me if I'm wrong, but if the camera is inside the booth while the booth lights are on, might the camera also pick up the reflections off of the window and block any infrared images picked up from the light from the fresnels? If so...

For some of the stuff the fault completely comes down on the venue, as a renter, you should leave the place as you found it, at least for about 90% of the things. I can slightly understand a light no longer being in focus, but as a renter anything that I unplugged should have been re-plugged in...

I'm not sure where you are, but the local lighting supply store that I get most of my stuff from has them. I go to Barbizon, they have a few locations throughout the US. I would imagine that most supply stores would carry them.

Our theatre has had 2 major renovations, the building opened in the 70s as a gym/auditorium combination, then in 1990 the school opened a real athletic building and the basketball team moved out of the combo building, which led the school to convert the building to a Black Box Theatre in 1993...
