    Electricity inside set pieces

I've used wheelchair batteries (gel cell) because they have TONs of staying power and smaller than a standard deep cycle marine battery and a simple 12v power interter. Just recharge overnight and she's good to go again.

How do you deal with low lying fog wet flooring?

How much fog are you looking for?I've built a custom fogger for Shrek out of a plastic garbage and some aluminum dryer vent hose and an in-line vent fan. Start at the bottom and wind your vent hose up the inside of the trash can and fix it in place with eiher hot melt glue or in my case wire...

Plus one for rope lights at shin level and a spare dimmer channel. The theater I work out of is a combination stage & gymnasium so mounting rope lights isn't an option. A work around was to simply mount a 500W MFL PAR can with a blue gel (don't even use a dimmer) back stage. After 5 years no...

Dry Ice Fog vs. Antari Ice 101 Low Fog Machine

I've built fog chillers out of a smaller plastic garbage and lined the inside with 4" aluminum dryer vent hose (may need multiples depending on size of the can and length of hose) by either gluing or drilling holes and zip tying the hose to hold in place and finally cut/drill holes (1 top, 1...

Yep, right up to the point that they catch a breeze or someone leans against it and falls over onto someone. Outrigered and guy-wired.

How do you mark your extension cords?

or.... Pick up some boat wrap tape. Not permanent by a long shot but it'll allow you to place a label and clear wrap it on an existing cable. Hit it with heat and it'll shrink tight.
