    Push Sticks

I am looking for inexpensive "automation" solutions and one of them I've read about are long pushsticks to move wagons on and off stage. Does anyone have a photo of one they've made? My initial idea is a couple of long round poles perhaps with a hook on one end so that you could pull the wagon...

    Rear Projection

Can someone walk me through what I need to know in order to effective use rear projection onto a scrim? I've never done it before and want to know what I am getting into before I make purchases/rentals. Any photos for inspiration would also help!

    Rear projection on painted surface

Is it possible to use rear projection to project onto a surface that is textured painted on the front? For instance, I want to redesign this set for The Diary of Anne Frank. I'd love to use rear projection on the circled areas for when we hear Anne's voiceovers. The projector will be the text...

    Scenic painting stage floor

We're doing Wizard of Oz soon and painted a large tarp for munchkinland/OZ, and now have an opportunity to paint another tarp for the Kansas prairie scenes. Any inspirational photos or ideas for what to paint on that tarp? I think flat brown might look gross. The photos below are what we painted...

    Christmas concert ideas

We have 2 different Christmas concerts. 1 features our bands and choirs and the other is a city symphony orchestra pops concert. We don't have a shell, just a black traveler and white cyc. I'm looking for suggestions on backdrops - ideas to light the cyc or the black traveler. I've rented a star...

    Cornfield silhouette

I want to make a cornfield silhouette for Wizard of Oz to hide my ground row of cyc lights. Something sort of similar to the photo below, but I want it to be painted black and be a silhouette. I was thinking 6-7' tall and a total of 16' long. Any recommendations on what material to use, or how...
