I trained at RADA in London on the Lighting Design Course.
I spent some years as a Chief Electrician in a reciving house before moving to a new receiving house as Technical Manager where I spent 4 years.
I have also toured most of Europe as Chief Electrician and Tour Manager for one nighters of Noise Ensemble, Westend Rocks, Red Preist, An Evening on the Westside and more.
From the end of 2008 to mid 2012 I had been with Cirque Du Soleil as the Head of Lighting on Varekai, touring through Europe, Russia, Asia and South America.
I then spent the rest of 2012 into 2013 as Production Electrician and programmer for Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy Tour. Relighter for Yes Prime Minister and several programming jobs on the MA2 in Europe and the fast east. I took on the role of Technical Director for RENT 20th Anniversary Concert Tour. Getting back into the world of design I was LD and Video designer for Back to the Future Musical, Our House, Annie and the Jungle Book.
In May 2013 I returned to Cirque Du Soleil on OVO in Australia as Assistant Head of Lighting ready for its South East Asia tour.
In Taipei was moved to Head of Lighting on OVO ready for Japan in January 2014. In June 2015 the Japan tour came to an end and so did the OVO bigtop tour. I moved to Totem as Head of Lighting in Perth and Singapore. In December 2015 I moved to Montreal as Head of Lighting for Cirque's brand new Big Top tour, Luzia, to being the programming of video and special effects. Then I moved again in 2016 to VOLTA as Head of Video for the new tour.
I hold a full JAA Pilots License for those days off on tour! And own a 1952 DeHavilland DHC-1 Chipmunk. G-BCGC Royal Flight.
Over the years I have collected many lighting and video items for use. Due to touring these are all available for hire. My aim is to give back a little to the amateur groups which where I started. I will always try to fit your budget. In particular I have an MA2 Light Console that Amdram and Schools may hire without the huge costs.
