    In-house Marley Welding

It is fairly simple when you get the hang of it. I found a flooring person on Craigslist who came in for a few hours and showed one of my shop techs how to do it. Within a few hours he was producing more than acceptable results.Another tip on the topic of marley...using an iron and wet rag you...

    In-house Marley Welding

Yes, this is exactly how you do it, and is done all the time in permanent installations. It can even be used on portable marley as well. Any flooring company should be able to do this for you, it is the same process when laying vinyl flooring commercially. Or you can learn to do it yourself...

    MA Ethernet over Fiber Question

Awesome thanks for that link. Just out of curiosity, if I decide to run ethernet instead, what is the maximum length I can run between console & NPU? Thanks!

    MA Ethernet over Fiber Question

Hey everyone,I have a question regarding sending ethernet over fiber. I have an MA2 command wing and need to send the ethernet signal over 500ft to an MA2 NPU. I also have a 1000ft Camplex OpticalCon Quad SM Xtreme fiber reel with OpticalCon Quad to 4x LC breakouts, which I think can be used...

    Kreios FLX Power Supply Issues

I have about 8 of these purchased maybe a year or 2 ago, and 4 of the power supplies have failed, all at different times. Is this a known issue with these? They're not in extreme temperatures outside of their operating range and are pretty isolated in the ceiling of a warehouse, spaced about 8ft...

    Dance studio floor

Contact Le Mark out of the UK and look into their Coda reversible dance floor. I purchase around $20k worth of dance floor a year and it is comparable to Harlequin reversible and half the price. If they don't have any in the US it is still cheaper to ship it in from the UK to the US (and I'm on...

    New fast-fold screen

It amazes me that if the product is as great as they claim it is, how did it take them so long to figure it out?!? We've only been building projection screens like this in the events industry for 30 years, but we finally figured out the perfect one! That's what I thought watching the video.

    12" Truss Cantilever- Acceptable Overhang?

Wow this is all great info. A lot for me to look into. Thanks!

    12" Truss Cantilever- Acceptable Overhang?

Is there an acceptable length of standard 12" truss (let's say Light Duty Tomcat Box with Plates) that can be extended past a point, assuming there is nothing hung on the truss past the point? I realize there's potentially a few other variables here, but figured there must be someone with some...

Vectorworks Lighting Fixtures crashing OpenGL and Renderworks

I am also having tons of problems rendering since I upgraded to 2016. Brand new custom machine with Nvidia Quadro K4000 graphics card, and render constantly crashes VW. I'm just learning to save frequently and deal with it.

    Marley Dance Floor cart advice

Finally made a Marley cart I'm happy with. I pretty much copied and made better the Harlequin cart which was the best design aside from the $6k B&R cart that I've seen. I tried to get Harlequin to build what I wanted but those phone calls were pointless and so I decided to build it myself. The...

Makeup lights for touring show (compact and on the cheap)

We use these suitcase-style stations, the legs fold into the base and the whole thing is the size of a small suitcase. They can be pricey, but check out AliExpress.com and search for makeup station. Usually in the $200-400 range.

    Cutting Marley

Yes there's a special blade to use so it doesn't gum up. It was a dance floor installation company who I saw do it. They got the idea from another floor installation company who always cut linoleum that way. Also something about plastic sheeting in between if it's super flexible like Harlequin...
