I think go for some blues, purples, reds and yellows. It allows you to mix quite a lot. Scrollers would be good if you had access to them. I love a cyc with a red at bottom/yellow at top gradient and then some reds and yellows on stage. And then a blue cyc with blues and purples on stage...

As with any design aspect, it all depends on where it is being used. It can be really effective or look ridiculous. In my opinion, it's something different to experiment with and I'd try it out in some situations where the director is wanting to create a sinister character, as it will cast...

It may however be a AMX system, due to the age. Or indeed a special system developed by Strand to manage such a complex structure. I'm really quite interested too, so please PM me if you find any more out :) Kenneth

In Aberdeen's main theatre, His Majesty's, they have the iron covered in ads from local businesses and it's shown before, at the interval, and after each performance.We don't have one on our stage at school, and I'm not sure what is meant to happen to it with regulations...
