I am having a problem with my DMX Cable with my XP 64-bit computer.
The cable works fine most of the time but then my fixture randomly loses DMX signal, usually after or just before running a cue.
A simple restart of the SweelLight software fixes this but I can't be spending my time...
Good choice. We have a GrandMA Full-size down here. I find that when you first start using it, it takes time to get used to it but when you've used it for a couple of days, it's great!

Anyway, I personally would stay with DMX and not go down the Ethernet route yet, but I would get a console that supports Ethernet to be 'future-proof'

You beat me to it. That is what I always use, it can also be used for 16A extensions.
DON'T go with H05 cables as well, they don't self-extinguish and some authorities don't like people using it.
