    Safety Cables

It looks a little discolored/rusted on the right side - would that pose any sort of hazard?

    Fuses

I know this is awfully off topic, but it's "Layman's terms."

    ASMs

Hey everyone :) As some of you may [or may not] know, I'm SMing a musical type show right now. It's about five weeks from when we go up [with about a three week break in the middle, unfortunately, but beside the point.] My ASM is a really sweet girl and has done some teching in the past...

    Standby

This is what we do - it keeps the suond cues and the light cues nicely in order. As for the cue book, yeah, a script wth large margins works beautifully, unless you're going for a dance show. Speaking of which, for those of you who've SMed dance shows - what works best for a cue list? Lisa

    "Burning in?"

Hey there. ^^ I'm more of a SMing techie, but I heard the term "burning in" recently, and it caught my interest. Someone noted that sometimes, when you've got new equiptment, you should let it run something [music, whatever] for 50 hours. According to him, it improves the sound quality...

    Techie sayings

The sound kid at my school uses that too. ^^ Albeit, he also does some set building on the side, but same principle. ;) Lisa

Yeah, not much else to miss about HS other than massage trains, eh? ;) That's a great idea, about moving around. We haven't cast for dance parts yet, but I have a feeling we'll have multiple rehearsals going on at one time [Thanks for reminding me - I should sign up for those time slots on...

Thanks TechWench. :D Wow, it's good to know that I'm not the only one who's gone through this. ^^ Crying does seem a lot bit extreme though. ;) But that last bit seems like a very good suggestion. :D I'm also going to have to figure out a way to keep rehearsals moving - any suggestions there...

    Hey from Massachusetts ^^

How's that? I haven't actually heard of it.

Well, that's definitly a technique I haven't tried yet. :) We're still rehearsing though, and learning the songs, and coordinating to get the vocalists to all arrive on time, so I'm not sure that it's an option yet. ^^ Lisa

    Hey from Massachusetts ^^

^^ That's true. Perhaps I was just reading too quickly. ;) Lisa

    Hey from Massachusetts ^^

Haha, that's an awesome idea. ;) If I see one, I'll definitly get it - I need to seriously suck up to her anyway. Oh. It's an anime face. It's like a nevous/vaguely embarrassed smiley type. :D

    Wood trim for counter

This sounds awesome! What immediately comes to mind is finding a dowl[sp?] rod [one of those round cylinder types of wood] with a radius similar to what you're looking for, cutting it into quarters, painting it, and glueing it to the edge of your table. ^^ I think someone may have had a...

    Hey from Massachusetts ^^

Ewie, that's no fun. And snow plot drivers are up at all hours of every night, too. That's unfortunate. Haha, my Engilsh teacher says they sound comforting [!?!?]. I know it's more than one book. ^^ My point is that the one I read didn't get me interested enough to spend time reading the...
