how does the 3/5 pin to 4 pin dmx ram power supplies work and is it possible for me just to connect the 2 data lines to a 5 pin dmx plug and the 2 power lines to a regular 24v power supply?

rubbing alcohol to remove the hot glue plus it doesn't really make a big enough difference to tell if you have too much hot glue so like 2 evenish layers and you should be good

i would use hot glue works verry well

okay thank you but the one i have from what i can see is one winding that is seperate from another(only one tap(one in one out) and the other winding has 4 wires comming out, 2 to the selector switch one to caps where other side is to 3rd terminal of selector switch and the terminal that toggles...
