What does this Russian lady want??

Hi folks,I'm on tour with a Russian ballet group and the LD is trying to tell me about a specific machine she wants for next year but her English is so broken I'm not sure what it is she wants. Essentially she wants a moving water effect (for Swan Lake) but not a gobo rotator. She says that in...

    How's the Delta 3000?

Thanks for the suggestion. The machine we're replacing is the HES F-100. It was great in it's hayday but now it only works about 75% of the time and no one has been able to pin point why. So, I guess that makes me a little hesitant about HES but then again it's an OLD machine so I should put...

    How's the Delta 3000?

Heyo, Our theater is looking to purchase a new fog machine. We need something dmx controllable and dependable. Any suggestions? We've heard the Rosco Delta 3000 is great. We've also looked into hazers but have decided a fogger will be more useful for the effects we're after. Anything...

    Which Hazer?

Obviously this post is three years old now but I just want to put out there that they have stopped making replacement coils for the Neurtron so if yours blows your out of luck.

Two video signals, Two projectors, One computer?

To clarify, one of our projectors needs to project a live video feed plus effects from Isadora (which we are committed to buying). The other projectors will be projecting entirely different material that will at times act as lighting effects. The question is, how do I do this from one...

Two video signals, Two projectors, One computer?

We need to run two projectors with separate video signals and would like to do it from one computer. Is this possible? We usually edit out video content with Final Cut and are considering purchasing Isadora to help with the running. Is there a way to do this without having to purchase an...

    Bones to spend question

That's pretty much exactly what we've done. We had a larger grant wit which we bought a Rosco I-cue, new s4's, cable, tubes, base assemblies and other parts. The one grand is what's left and of course I can't buy toys but I'm also not aloud to spend it on small stuff (tools, tape, lamps) that...

    Grants for Technology

Be careful watting up like that! We had some older source fours that were only rated up to 575 and a student load a 750 lamp in one without knowing it. Basically the lamp welded itself to the socket and over the course of a week ate a dime sized whole through the entire base while still burning...

    Bones to spend question

Question: If you had $1000 dollars to spend on lighting equipment for your theater on NEW stuff, what would you buy? Cheers, Marv

Coloram power supply with Rosco I-cue?

Well . . . yesterday the i-cue mistakenly got plugged into the Coloram anyway. It exploded in an impressive way. Not the whole thing, just the power circuitry. I tell you that is a smell you don't want floating around on your catwalks. Thanks for the advice.Cheers, Marv

Coloram power supply with Rosco I-cue?

Our theater just purchased a shiny new Rosco I-Cue but did not purchase a separate power supply. Can we use our second universe (Coloram 2) which we use to power our scrollers to power the I-Cue and if so can we do both at the same time? Cheers, Marv
