Matthew J. Evans is an accomplished, professional set designer, scenic artist, and production manager. Matthew worked as the production manager, resident scenic designer and scenic artist for LaComedia Dinner Theatre in Springboro, from July 1996 - January 2010.

In addition to working for LaComedia, Matthew has established a freelance career as a scenic designer working for such companies like the University of Wisconsin - Platteville, Town Hall Theatre, Barter Theatre, Indian Hills High School and The Sorg Opera Company.

Being exposed to many unique situations, and collaborating with many different artists on all levels, Matthew has increased his knowledge in the theatre business and has become a professional expert that is invaluable to any producer.

Some of Matthew's achievements include overseeing production operations in its entirety including contracts, budgets, design teams, all production staff including stage management, stage crews, actors, paint crews and construction crews. Matthew annually designs, paints, and manages on average six to ten productions per year using AutoCAD software to create technical drawings for directors, carpenters and paint crews.

Originally from Davenport, Iowa, Matthew now resides in Ohio with his beautiful wife Melanie and 4 year old son Camden.

Some of Matthew's favorite designs include: Miss Saigon, Peter Pan, Wizard Of Oz, Annie, Beauty And The Beast, Fiddler On The Roof, Dream Girls, Sound of Music, West Side Story, Thoroughly Modern Millie, and The Full Monty.
