McBride!Lights

I'm McBride and I do lights for my high school. I was first exposed to theater at age 5 and I haven't stopped since. At 5 I started off acting in musicals put on by a local theater company (now sadly shut down) and once I got to high school I immediately started acting with the Drama Club. After stage managing the last play of my Sophomore year I decided that I was drifting more towards the technical aspect of it all, and that coming September I began learning lights. Now, going into my Senior year, I have lit about 15 shows (most of them for my school's music department) and I am totally in love with the craft. I definitely don't know everything -especially since our lightboard has been on the fritz since December, causing me to be the master of the portable board and do most of my work on that little pain in the butt- but I definitely am not done learning and in the mean time I'm getting us by on what I do have at my disposal.

I intend on learning all I can from my current teacher and then, once I am done at my high school, hopefully going on to do something with lighting/stage managing in my future.

My school does two plays a year, one fall and one spring, and we participate in The METG Drama Festival in between.

Oh! And I have an obsession with spike tape.
