    Any Idea What this Is?

Thanks. I believe it could be that as well. Upon further inspection, there is a hole at the bottom which would make sense for placing a mic to capture audience sound. Hopefully later this week or next, I can work at lowering it and seeing what's up.

    Wireless Mic Limitations

Hi Everyone,I work at a school in South Korea and up until recently, I was able use wireless mics on the 500mhz band and the 900mhz band. However, we are now only able to use the 900mhz band. That band is 925mhz to 937. So it's quite a narrow band.So currently we use 20 microphones. 12...

    Any Idea What this Is?

Hi Everyone, I'm attaching a picture of an item that is hanging from a wire in the middle of our theater. I started working here about 4 years ago, but haven't had a chance to fully understand what this item is as it's out of reach from our catwalks and most of the time I've just ignored it.I...

    Midas DL153 - Dual AES50 Ports

Thanks for your reply! A lot of what you said makes sense, however, the DL153 stage box has 16 inputs and 8 outputs for a total of 24. Also, when I read descriptions of the DL153, it says that it has 2 aes50 ports for redundancy. So, I guess I was just wanting to make sure nothing bad would...

    Midas DL153 - Dual AES50 Ports

Hi,Sorry. I more question for all of you.We currently have 3 Midas DL153 going into our Midas Pro2 which is taking up the 6 AES50 ports on the back of the board. This is because each DL153 uses two AES50 ports for redundancy. However, I'm hoping to get a Klark Teknik DN9630 to do multi...

Ringing Out Mics on Midas Pro2

Hi Everyone,I'm working on a Midas Pro2 Board and was wondering if anyone has used this board to ring out mics to reduce feedback. I was watching some videos online how to do this on the X32 and on that board it had a visual EQ where you could see where the problematic frequencies were for...

ETC NET3 4 Port Gateway Issue

I see too that jtweigandt also suggested that each facility should be on a separate isolated network as well. So thanks for that. I will tell our IT guy to separate the two networks and I believe that will fix the issue.

ETC NET3 4 Port Gateway Issue

Wow, thank you everyone for the thoughtful replies. Sorry for not responding sooner. I truly appreciate it and now believe I have seen the issue. As Malabaristo said above, our two facilites (with separate light boards and gateways) are all on the same network. That network is separate from...

ETC NET3 4 Port Gateway Issue

Hi,I found out some new information and hoping maybe we can figure this out now. We were going to have an ETC tech come in, but I don't believe the issue we have is with our lightboard anymore and think it's purely the network. So some more context. I work in a school where we have a main...

ETC NET3 4 Port Gateway Issue

I'll have to verify some of this with our schools IT technician tomorrow. After you mentioned it, I believe both setups were through network switches. Main difference was switching from the 10.x.x. range to the 192.x.x range. When we switched to the new range, our IT person also changed the...

ETC NET3 4 Port Gateway Issue

Ah, thanks for the quick explanation. So our system was on 10.x.x.x. range before, but recently our school has switched everything out and is no longer assigning static ip addresses in that range. So when the router went down, they decided to switch the static ip address assigned to it as...

ETC NET3 4 Port Gateway Issue

I'm a little confused. Why didn't I have to change the IP address of the gateway? The router that was connected to it broke and was no longer receiving a connection from our network. So the etc light board wasn't able to communicate with our dmx lights. Where I work had switched the IP...

ETC NET3 4 Port Gateway Issue

Sorry, when I say router, it's a network switch. So we have the ethernet cable from the front of the ETC NET3 Gateway going to the network switch. Because the old static IP address that was saved in our gateway no longer fuctioned, we had to switch that Static IP to the new network switcher.
