Low Cost, VGA Splitters and VGA over CAT5 Baluns

Yeah, I have access to both ends of the cable. This cabling is not installed for network access so there is no switch, this is just for theatrical data applications. Out theater is wired everywhere with RJ45 for data, BNC for video, XLR3 for audio and XLR5 for lx.Right now VGA will have to be...

Low Cost, VGA Splitters and VGA over CAT5 Baluns

Thanks for that! Is there any chance you could link me to the box you are talking about?I am not too sure what the cabling is. The cable is already in the wall just with rj45 patch points on each end. I am guessing it is cat5 or better

Low Cost, VGA Splitters and VGA over CAT5 Baluns

Hi there, I am looking for some recommendations around VGA Splitters and Cat5 Baluns. Both of these devices will be operating at 1024*768, 60hz. The Baluns need to get the VGA across a run of about 75 meters. The budget is basically as low as possible as this is going to be used in a High...

Integrating Cordless Phone and Clear-Com Partyline System

That is a fair point. It will be my backup plan. If I can get my intended system to work it would be ideal as you do not need as many phones to make it function.

Integrating Cordless Phone and Clear-Com Partyline System

Yeah, I just realised that the schem I linked to was not correct. However I have found other example of telephone line interfacing. Most are design for use with a sound card, I think that with minor modification I could make it work with a clearcom. I will keep you all in the loop with my progress.

Integrating Cordless Phone and Clear-Com Partyline System

Thanks all!Re Sk8rsdad - that would be awesome!Just to clarify for everyone, I am not looking to connect the clearcom system to an external phone line. What I am looking to do is simply connect a cordless phone directly to the clearcom system. There will be no outside connection, but a...

Integrating Cordless Phone and Clear-Com Partyline System

Hi there! In terms of permissions and all, do not fear, I have that all sorted. We have gear that has been written off that is essentially the exact same thing as our operational system. I am going to use this written off gear to test, and that has been cleared with the powers at be.Too...

Integrating Cordless Phone and Clear-Com Partyline System

Hi all!So, at my school we have a clearcom wired system. It is very nice, but we would like to have some wireless capability. We have a load of wired beltpacks for which we do not have headsets. So, here is what I am thinking. Take a cordless phone. Take the audio output/input connections on...

    End of Intermission (Chimes)

We do have a paging system in the lobby, so if we could find a box with a button on it which would output a bell sound effect via XLR when pressed, then we could plug that into our system.

    End of Intermission (Chimes)

Hi All!I have been told to find a audience call bell system for my theater. They want a standalone system which can be easily activated from both the control both and the intermission waiting area. Just wondering if anyone could recommend anything? I know that there are several DIY solutions...
