    What's a good Pico Projector

My company owns several of the AAXA P300 units that were linked to and we have had success using them in a variety of applications ranging from projecting on model boxes and material tests up through actual production use in installation and performance. Other members of my team have used them...

    Test Pattern

Are you looking for color bar/gradient type test patterns for calibration purposes or grids for alignment and mapping purposes? Either way you want them to match the resolution of the projector but for grids I find it's easier to just build them in Illustrator to match what I need for a given...

    Coax to iMac

A single coax could be composite analogue or SDI. The answer is different for each although Blackmagic makes something that will work for either.

    Wizard of Oz Projections Needed

Projection design's aren't typically something that can be leased in that way that, say, a set or costume package for an opera or musical might be able to be. In part, this is because projection designs are extremely dependant on the specifics of a given production's scenic design, venue, etc...

Projector Mount / "Spider Mount" Question

You will probably just need to buy an entire new mount and a piece of threaded pipe with a cheeseborough. The plate that you generally see on the pipe is part of the mount that has just been detached but in my experience the two parts always come as a package together. I would look at Chief and...

MY JOB: not huge. MY TIME: not nearly enough. MY EXPERIENCE: greenest green can be. Please Help.

You can use a DoubleHead2Go or TripleHead2Go if you need multiple outputs from a computer that only had one as long as you are aware of their limitations and know that you will be able to work within/around them.

    RCA video through XLR

In theory it should vaguely work but running it anywhere near audio or power which is usually where XLR audio cabling is routed is a recipe for interference with both the video and the audio.

    Rotate surface in qlab3

I don't know what version of the TripleHead you're using but the DigitalEdition and DP edition have built in support for portrait output

    Rotate surface in qlab3

You can rotate the display in Apple Display preferences and then QLab should reflect that.

    Multiple TV Video Solution

Anything from low end digital signage players to $100k worth of media servers can do what your describing. What level of show control and programming flexibility you are looking for will determine what the best option is. Is this for a lobby or as part of a scenic/video design?

    Tripod mount for projector?

You can always use a boom base with threaded schedule 40 pipe into a standard projector mount like the ones from Peerless or Chief.

    Short Throw Projector Stacking

You should double check this with the barco lens calculator but my recollection is that with the stacking frames the permissible lens shift with those lenses is sufficient to compensate.

    Short Throw Projector Stacking

Most Barcos support lens shift with that lens model so you should be able to converge them although those aren't exactly the easiest lenses to do it with.

    Cool demo

I suspect the handheld looking shots are also done with a robotic arm that has been programmed using a trainer interface that preserves some of the natural human variation.

    Cool demo

It was made by a company that owns and rents industrial robotic arms for automating scenic elements and cameras on film shoots so they already had all the expensive gear. It also bears noting that the camera was on an arm as well and this video would not have been possible without carefully...
