    CNC for Scenery and whatnot.

Has anybody ever used any kind of CNC machine to make props or scenery? I know it's expensive, but there are some people with some large operations on here and maybe they can afford it.It's worth your time to check out this gallery. They have done some pretty spectacular work.props

    Need some framing help.

I'm working on a wooden curved staircase for a show. I'm having problems figuring out how to frame this. Any ideas would be appreciated. The inside of the stairs is a 14 inch radius. Also, despite how my drawing looks, I want the inside radius to be a curve , not a series of straight segments...

    Typical Plot Size?

I don't usually do a lot of plotting for lighting. Most of what I do is plotting of maps and stuff in AutoCAD at work, so my knowledge on this is limited. I can say that Arch D size sheets will fit on most desk pretty well. I listed all the other Arch sizes out below for you.Name in × in...

    Material for Making a Headboard

I know a guy that owns a building center, I'll see what I can get. I would have to travel an hour to get to a Home Depot, so that's probably not going to happen.

    Material for Making a Headboard

I just got back from Lowes. The only polystyrene board they had was white, and to be honest, I thought it was crap. It appeared to be a nightmare to carve as it was made of small white bits that kind of crumble apart when you rubbed them. Is there any difference between the blue stuff and the...

    Material for Making a Headboard

This spring we're doing Once Upon A Mattress at my high school. I have designed a pretty elaborate headboard in AutoCAD. My question is what should I build it out of? It's 3 feet high and 3 1/2 feet wide and needs to be a few inches thick. I want to keep it light weight and cost effective...

Sound and Video not matching up

I may have been exagerating it a little bit when I said a second. I'm beginning to think there may have been some issues in how they put the DVD together, since it has appeared to be unique to this DVD. I will find more out next week when I dive into the issue.

Sound and Video not matching up

Thanks for the responses. The DVD isn't the issue, it worked in another DVD player and TV when we watched it earlier this week. It can from a TV station (WTVG) too, so I trust their work. I haven't tried another DVD player with the system, but my guess is that it was something in the processor...

Sound and Video not matching up

Tonight I went to play a DVD on our video system. As I was playing it, I noticed that the audio was a second or so ahead of the video. What causes this? What can be done to fix it? We have a VP-25xl presentation switcher from Kramer, and they it gets sent to a distribution amplifier (also a...

I'm looking into getting some Strand SN110 Nodes. Does anybody know what the list price is on these? And what's everybody's thought on them?
