A variation of this: http://stage-directions.com/2312-tse-unveils-new-self-climbing-truss-hoist.htmlIt's possible it's very much like this with a single center motor driving two cable drums. Hard to tell from that video.
My ignorant speculation: Those two short trusses are permanently installed in the venue and contain internal cable lifts (two each) which also explains the pantograph power cable feeds. My wild guess is that those weren't designed/installed to carry much more than a basic fixture load and not...

Sounds like what happens when the computer is still accessing (or trying to access) things on the internet, such as update checks, etc. Have you done the setup suggested by the QLab guys? https://figure53.com/docs/qlab/v3/general/preparing-your-mac/
Agreed, but I'd like to see one simple fader replacing the functions of the on/off AND dimmer buttons. Since that's unlikely maybe they could at least correct dimmer channel three (strobe) to be full-on between 0 and 20%, then various strobe speeds above that. The would allow the use of a single...
I have four of them in my rental inventory. Seem to be very well made. They are brighter than the cheap 1k incandescent spots we used to rent out, but not as bright as the 400W Altman Voyagers we have either. Best part for us was the 'color correction' position on the color wheel, although it's...
Never heard anyone call those "confidence monitors". The confidence monitors I'm familiar with are used so that presenters can see their powerpoint slides during their presentation.
Using more than two lifting points on a straight run of truss is not any safer and requires the use of load sensors to determine proper load distribution among the lifting points. Better to achieve 'redundancy' by assuring proper equipment and structural safety margins on the two points used.
