Colortran dimmers? Check airflow, dirty dimmers, or finally it's the Colortran dimmers. I'm also wondering if you have an archetechual control attached to your Dimmers. I have had a bad station that would make magical things happen with the lights.

By the time I get to them they have cooled down. I've tried torching them to heat them up with no luck. I'm sitting on a graveyard of 18 SL fixtures.

Has anybody ever had to replace the lamp sockets on these fixtures? I cannot get the backs apart. Strand used steel screws into the Aluminium housing and basicly the screws have rusted, I'm thinking from the heat, and I can't get them out. I know this already happened.here is what I use. Tie a line to I-bolt and run it through a bock (pulley) onthe end of the batten down. just pull to release. if you use heavy rope the weight of rope might pull the pin.
