I am a sound designer and engineer at my High School. I am basically second in command in the theater at my school. We have a small budget for tech equipment per show. We use a Yamaha M7CL in our large space and a Yamaha LS9-16 in the small space for our soundboards/mixers. We also use QLab (free) for audio playback.
