ricc0luke- we have plenty of cable, I hope you weren't suggesting buying extension cords at a hardware store, whih are not rated for pro use.
Also, adding more outlets falls into the "invasive electrical work" catagory.

Just fishing for advise.
One of the theatres I work at is a basic 99 seat studio theatre in a converted basement. Currently the inherited dimmer set up is 7 Lightronic AS-42D dimmer packs. These offer 4 channels of 1200w each, however, as there are only 8 seperate 20 amp. outlets...

Before I check out the Lamp Doctor, I'd say another cause is shock or vibration. If someone was focusing a light FOH and another crew member was hanging another light, or scenery bumps an electric while lamps are hot, it could over stress the posts holding the filament in place.

Great stuff.
In many cases the filters can be removed and cleaned in warm soapy water. Sometimes they are too sticky to clean with a vacuum. Must be completely dried before installing again, of course. Or you could just replace them with the same kind....

I have some limited experience with GOLD edition. What I would try in basic is to create a "show" that is just your channel check. Then after you run that you can load your current show.
Otherwise you should be able to fool around with the download version at home to test out different ideas.
