has anyone used the NSI zooms?

I need the flexibility of a zoom, but its a small room with close throws so I don't need a full size light and jr sizes are much cheaper.

I am looking to get some Zoom ellipsoidals for our new building. What are some recommendations for lights. I am looking at source 4 jr zooms and the NSI/Leviton zoom fixtures. I have experience with regular source 4s but none with NSI. any thoughts? Thanks

i just received my i cues and 1 50watt psu for them... It looks like a laptop psu that has a 4 pin xlr with the power going to pins 1 and 4. It has a 5 pin xlr for dmx in, and pins 2 and 3 from the dmx in go to pins 2 and 3 on the 4 pin xlr. The 4 pin xlr is what goes to the i cue... so...

Try terminating the dmx, and or swapping out dmx cables. Dmx problems can be a huge pain and hard to track down, I've had dmx porblems with dimmer packs that caused the lights to flash, which it you translate that into the way the i cue works would equal twitching. The dmx prob may not be at...

how do the channels work in 16 bit mode. i know that in 8 bit mode that 1 channel is x axis and one is y axis but how does that work in 16 bit mode?

also how are these at being used as a moving effect. smooth moves...etc

what about when the light system is shut off. do the i-cues have to be powered down or can the be let on. i know the elipscan just moves around making all kinds of annoying high pitch noise after i power down the express24/48. what do you do when you power down?

i just got my budget approved to get the i-cues, now my guestion is whether to get the i -cue or the meteor elipscan. I borrowed a elipscan from my lighting supplier and it works pretty well, but its loud, i can hear it from 30ft away. It also makes noise when the mirror is not moving. does...

how do i set up a MSC track in vegas

im not familar with midi, does anybody know how to set up vegas with mtc to send cue #s and go commands to an etc express 24/48?

if i run the tc from a computer with vegas, and pause the music in vegas would that stop the tc
