They probably still have those nice shock-absorber rubber feet though, right? :)

If you sit the PCC or PZM on some foam and high-pass filter the feed it'll be a lot better. Man, it's been ages since I logged in here :)

Free Sound effect playback for Mac OSX?

Not any more I'm not ;) By 'free version' I mean something similar to what Pete Hashagen did with Q-Manager and made a rather limited version (no EQ, no fade cues, no show control, nothing really except 2 channel cued playback) available for free and charged for the fuller-featured versions.

Free Sound effect playback for Mac OSX?

Wahey! It's Q-Manager, but for OS X. Awesome. Pity there's no free version though.

Sound Cue Programs; Are they useful and feasible for a play?

Once again I have to plug Q-Manager (www.hammerandtong.com) - the free version will do everything you need for basic FX playback, and if you need more than 2 channels or cue-able fades, the limited version isn't that expensive.

Every answer would have to start with "First grab the gaff tape..."

    Video Cam

The video will not travel well down audio-grade cable. Your best bet woudl be to use video runs already installed (they may not be) or to use a wireless AV sender type of device that sends composite video and stereo audio over 2.4GHz radio.

Mark Mothersbaugh is awesome because he's 25% of Devo, not for Rugrats ;)

    TV PRODUCTION Phasing Problems

I think you mean directional and cardioid. Dynamic is a type of element electronics, as opposed to condenser. #1 think you want to do is get that studio acoustically treated STAT. (Well, after losing the omni lavaliers - take a look at the Countryman lineup, they're very shweet). If...

    Behringr

Re: Behringer DEQ2496 You got ripped off ;) Then again I got an edu discount from B&H. $269 baby :) Put it in the rack of the crappy-sounding theatre rig, and now it's a lot less crappy sounding.

TPHS owns three Chauvet moving heads. Very low-end, but they've served us well.

    major lighting problems

Mayhem, ship's probably able to answer this better than I am but over here venues will generally have multiple ground points, and different disconnects (and in some cases different panels) will be grounded individually. Not good if you find yourself in a situation where you absolutle have to...
