that's not that high at all. a 12' or 16' A frame should be able to span the stair wall and get you plenty close enough. Or ones of those littler giant ladders that you could seton a stair case. And/or use a smaller ladder and just build a little platform legged at height to set on the stair...

located in NJ, the Element 1, was the console before our major auditorium refit 5 years ago. We upgraded to an Ion Xe. We still pull it out on occasion but we are looking to pick up a GadgetNomad education bundle to do the little bit of offsite stuff we do.

Most placed won't have a used or upgraded element 2 available. My school might have an Element 1 (windows XP) floating around in a closet.

the The smallest ETC Colorsource Console is very functional and would give you lots abitity to control fancier stuff.

if you arn't recalling "presets/submasters" or using a cue stack, I would stay away from movers on a 2-scene preset console. A pro and experienced user would be okay, but any novice is going to struggle, trying to live busk movers.
