I was able to follow the link. Those look nice but i need a flexible PVC housing. I sent a quote request to see how much those go for. I am definitely looking to go the cheapest route possible right now, and that's probably going to be found on Alibaba... but i'm up for going DIY if it's cheap...

Thanks for pointing that out. So what types of LEDs should i be searching for? I definitely need the PVC style rope (preferably one solid rope or double-sided) and would like the option of having full control over each individual LED.

EDIT: i did not mean to call them DMX ropes in my first sentence...Thanks for the info. The boxes had Chinese writing on them so there was no way to tell what the brand or PN was. No luck in finding the manufacturer online either. Here's a link to the rope lights.
