Wow!! Thanks to the Rons for your responses - to say that it is encouraging (perhaps false confidence, but it feels good) would be an understatement!
I'll have my boss get in touch in the hope that we can reactivate our control room panel for the house lights.Best wishes,Pete Bansen

This is a major long shot responding to a VERY old thread, but Ron Foley, are you still on board?Asking because we have a similar Environ system controlling house lights in the concert hall at the University of Nevada, Reno and the controller in our light booth has stopped working. Wondering...
That's too bad. I suspect it's because the folks doing the inspections and plan checks are not firefighters and don't understand that a firefighter/fire officer/fire chief would laugh out loud at the thought of taking on a working fire with a piece of 1 1/2" hose that's been in a pin rack...
Great questions, Bill, and there have been some excellent comments in reply. I'm looking at this from the perspective of 36 years in the fire service, the last 24 of which were as fire chief/fire marshal. Now retired, I have a part-time fun job as a stagehand/technician.I agree with the...
If I can find some Goof-Off, I will. Electrical contact cleaner and Brakleen definitely removed anything on the cable, but the shop towel came away blacker than with Goo Gone and the outer surface of the cable had a slightly tacky feel, indicating to me that the solvent was acting on the...
In the interest of scientific inquiry, I tried some Goo Gone on some Carol SJOOW. No ill effects - the rubber sheathing cleaned up nicely and had none of the sticky feeling that would indicate a reaction between the solvent and the rubber.
Duct tape not recommended for sucking chest wounds - it seals the wound too effectively (seriously).
I was an Firefighter/EMT for 26 years...Gaff tape - although much better for short-term use than duct tape - will also leave a gooey residue if left on for too long, leading (eventually) to...
Excellent idea - then at least you know what you're starting with.Yeah, I kind of muffed it at first because I work with an X32 Rack and the default main outs are XLR's 7 and 8, but then I realized that a full X32 has 16 XLR outs with #'s 15 and 16 the default main L/R.The OP has not...
I don't think that's it, Tim, although you're exactly right about direct outs function and purpose. I think he's got a routing issue and there's nothing routed to the output he's using except that one channel with the lead. On my X32 Rack, the default Main L/R is on the 7&8 XLR outs, but on an...
You could use one of the bus mixes. Behringer's nomenclature for some of the functions of this mixer can be a little confusing. The MixBus are what we generally would refer to as auxliiaries on an analog board - you would build a mix of the channels you need on a particular MixBus for stage...
