DD is available on a dimmer by dimmer basis. The dimmers that you wish to DD are easily selected at the CEM or CEM+. DMX patching becomes a little more complex if you have over 255 dimmers.

What about the new Smartfade console from ETC? It is really powerful for the price. Put that with some SmartBars and you have a cool system.!
