    Followspot recommendations?

Hey Bill! Yeah, the Oz matches the Topaze at 110' and is just shy of the SK output by a few FC. And the pool of light is very nice too. I will be playing with it a bit more at LDI this year but I don't have a problem with the Oz at that throw at all.

    Followspot recommendations?

the 1266 is a short throw fixture and 110' isn't the proper distance for the fixture, regardless of what the photometrics say. Lycian themselves state that photometrics should not be trusted. That being said, if you can upgrade the unit with the long throw lens, making it a 1267, that at least...

    Buxie vs Roxie2?

Either get another Buxie, so your fixtures match, or get 2 new Roxie2's. An upgrade would be more expensive, if in fact it were possible. The Roxie has a DMX dimmer, not a manual dimmer. some optics might have a different coating as well. The pool of light will be different between the 2...

Robert Juliat Oz will not dim with handle

When you run the dimmer up and down, does the output percentage show on the display? If not, you could just have a loose connector... can you drive the output via manual control on the display alone (not using the dimmer handle)?

    Strong Spotlight HMI Retrofit

different strong fixture entirely. as for the OP, there is sometimes a gap between what you want, and what you are willing to pay for. good luck.

    Strong Spotlight HMI Retrofit

Jeez no. There is absolutely NO real or practical reason to do that.

aligning follow spot sight - iris and dimmer at the same time.

Not sure why you are having an issue with your sights. there might be a small difference between your ds and us focus points , but without knowing more about your situation it is hard to comment. As for the Aramis, you have a few options for dimming. Dim with your right hand. There should be...

    LEDs-leave on or turn off?

Yeah, turn them off. As others have said, the PSU stays powered and those have a life as well. When your LED's have 300 hrs on them but your PSU has 8000 hrs, you end up replacing psu's (and potentially fans) for no good reason.

    LED Fresnel suggestions?

    How many do you need?

    Spotlight Fatigue

The lamp in the Aramis is a 500hr lamp, so if you don't have any documentation on when the lamps were changed you should change the lamps that are over 500. You will probably see a big difference in color temp after 400hrs, in relation to a new lamp. The suggestion to stagger the usage of your...

    Super Trouper Flicker Problem.

Yeah, 2000 hours is just over 8 hours a day, 5 days a week every week for an entire year. Not an optimal operation cycle for any lamp. the 2k Xenon lamp with life of 2000hrs should be rotated 90 degrees every 500 hours. Never been a fan of the Xenon lamp (with the exception of it having a...

    Opp vs Op

What you think and what is are two different things. It is akin to Swop vs Swap. Swop is very Euro and was used on a console or two in the late 80's/90's. Swop, Stop, Crop, Prop... seems logical. But everyone uses SWAP. Trap, Lap, Crap... doesn't make sense, but there it is.Enjoy.

Non-dim setting good enough for movers?

With dimmers, even in non-dim mode, never run a electronic ballast from that power. Only used relay power from a panel, or a dedicated relay module from a rack unless SPECIFICALLY approved by both the dimmer and fixture manufacturer. There are too many variables that come into play that can be...
