Thank you all so much for your responses. Our current theory is that there's something silly with the siphon tube. But seeing as we can't return the tank today (MLKJ Day) We are going to take @DanH and @Amiers advice and try it in the shop with one or two hooked up. Thanks!

Ran a gig last night with some cryo jets. They tested just fine and we shut off the tank to preserve fluid. Came time for the show and they made a lot of noise, and no plume. Went to fire the second cue, and same thing. All the noise, none of the effect. After the house cleared we fired them...

We're hoping for an actual cow.. but since we are doing projections already that's a good idea.. I'll see what people think.. thanks!

Thanks all! It IS a great show. We have considered just tossing it over the wall as has been recommended. We're hoping for more of a high arching type of look. Our current plan is probably to use two cows. one behind the wall to be quickly brought up to the cats with some line and then a second...

I'm TDing a production of spamalot and we would love for the cow that the french catapult at Arthur and his knights to be visible the whole time.. (launched from behind a castle wall) Would anyone have any recommendations on how to make sure it launches and lands on spike every time?

Last I did it we had a fiberglass cow with some fishing line on casters. It was great. Super cheesy. But hey, if you embrace the cheese wiz and make fun of it, it works out quite well!

That's a good thought.. We didn't think of that part. We do have that students shouldn't be responsible for concerts and so on, which is currently the case. (least wise not solely responsible without any staff oversight)
