    New to Moving heads

Thanks for the advice. I will have my laptop with me for trouble shooting during rehearsal tomorrow through Wednesday and will be sure to post how things go. I have one thought on using solely the playback, if i do this I will have lights on as the fixtures move into position, which typically...

    New to Moving heads

Hey All, So I am a high senior making my first real attempt at programming with moving lights. I am rather skilled at programming conventional lights, however I have never programmed with movers as they are not apart of our typical inventory. I have gotten the hang out how to go about making...

    LS9 Cues

Is there a way to change the patch for affects on the LS9 by use scenes. I know I can send the channels to aux and just change the level in the aux in each cue, but I was wondering if i could simply change the patch. Thanks in advance.

Loudspeakers Hum issues in main speakers

I guess Ill be attempting to get someone to fork over the cash to get it professionally looked at, or Ill be bribing people at the theater I sometimes work with to see if they can fix it. Gotta love low budget theaters.

Loudspeakers Hum issues in main speakers

That is tomorrows project. I have to bring in a couple of my tools inorder to take the speaker down from its current position. I will post after I finished that. If it is a blow speaker is there any way to determine which part is blown. I am not used to working with speaker repair, and knowing...

I have limited access to the wiring because everything is hard wired. all i know is that I plug my L/R mains into a wall patch and they go into conduit and when they come out at the amp rack there are multiple output...

Loudspeakers Hum issues in main speakers

I would assume if it was an issue with the EQ the hum would be present in the other 2 channels that come off the EQ and go to different speakers.

Loudspeakers Hum issues in main speakers

I will retest the amp tomorrow to determine if the amp is possibly bad. When I tested it last week, I could not get the hum on any other speaker. The TD however, claims he has. I will double check tomorrow. Signal flow is Tascam DM24 digital board- L/R combined- signal split to 2 EQ racks...

Loudspeakers Hum issues in main speakers

I determined it not to be an amplifier issue because when I unplug the wire run to the speaker and plug in a different wire to another speaker the issue does replicate its self. What else can I do to determine where the issue lies?

Loudspeakers Hum issues in main speakers

The way the system is installed is kind of strange and awkward. My L/R sends are actually tied together before reaching the amp. Then that combined signal is split across 4 different amps because all 7 speakers in the house get their own amp channel. I have no specs on the type of wire run or...
