    Youth Protection Policy

Cross-Posting to a few groups, please forgive if you see this more than once. We are re-visiting our youth protection policies, and I am looking for examples from other organizations. If you have a good one, please share!

    Alice in Wonderland: Growing/Shrinking

I had a director approach me today looking for ideas to pull off the growing/shrinking schtick in Alice in Wonderland. Anyone have a proven technique? (Yes, I have already done a search and I am aware of the similar thread from 2011.) She is also looking for any other "gee-whiz" SFX that...

    Ticket Software: Final Four

Narrowing our choices for a ticket software package. Still in the running: Accesso ShoWare, PurplePass, Vendini, and Ticket Socket. Any anecdotal information, good or bad, would be appreciated.

This video crossed my FB feed today and I thought the technique might be handy for prop construction:

    No-fee Ticketing Systems?

Thanks, Massey28694 - this seems very close to what I am after, I'll check it out!

    No-fee Ticketing Systems?

*shrug* I really don't see that as a significant hurdle. *Everything* is sold online. Tickets are in no way special. My objection is to paying a software company a per-ticket percentage (or flat fee) per ticket on top of the banking costs. A thousand here, a thousand there - pretty soon...

    No-fee Ticketing Systems?

Yes, I get that that^^^ is a common model. It can't be the *only* model. And any cheap ass e-commerce site can handle credit card transactions.

    No-fee Ticketing Systems?

Yeah, so - the snark is not helpful. There is nothing magical about selling tickets. It should be a simple e-commerce type arrangement. I don't need to pay my web provider a percentage every time I sell a widget on my web store, why do I need to pay a ticket software company to "host" my...

    No-fee Ticketing Systems?

Hello all -I'm wondering if anyone knows of a ticketing system that does not charge the venue a per-ticket fee. Seems like it would be easy to host a ticketing system entirely in-house, without employing any sort of cloud-based solution. Basically I'm looking for a software system, not a...

    LED Buyer's Guide?

I seem to recall one of the trade magazines doing a buyer's guide for LED ellipsoidals recently, but can't find the article. Anyone know of a good side-by-side comparison?

    Controlling LEDs with ancient board?

"Ancient" might not be right, but then I have actually never seen the Smartfade, we would be borrowing it. It was described to me as a "two-scene preset board that has memory but isn't compatible with external monitors, the only display is a tiny LCD screen". So I made an assumption regarding...
