Projections as Set for The Music Man

Hi there. Thanks for the Reply. My stage is about D30'xW50'xH~25'. I was considering 16 foot high by 8 feet wide "flats" to project these on. about 3 of them. We have one high output projector (from before we had all 750w source fours). As I look at it this project is not seeming very...

Projections as Set for The Music Man

Ok, First of all, I would like to apologize for posting this in the wrong board. Aside from this being the most populous board, I am a Lighting Designer myself so I find it easier to talk to other lampies.I'll start by giving you a little background Info. I am a semi-professional lighting...

    Color Mixing/Boom Color Washes

Hi there,We are doing Into the Woods as our spring musical this year. I have done the lighting design for this show before, but I had access to 2 Mac 700 profiles, 2 Mac 250 Washes and 4 Coemar Lx wash 250watt's. All of these fixtures had CMY color mixing in them so the options for adding...

Preference in "bulb" gloves? Lighting "toolbox"?

For HPL's just handle the lamp by the heat sink, if you graze the glass just wipe it with your shirt. I have never had a lamp explode due to improper handling of the lamp (at least when i install them). Non-HPL's just use the little piece of foam it comes with.

Stage rigging collapses at Indiana State Fair

They were begging to come down. But the show manager wouldnt let them come down, they were allowed to come down too late. The spot ops were on the way down as it was collapsing.

    Control/Dimming Busking on an ION

Is there a way to label the fader on the LCD screen of the fader wings? We have two full size fader wings that I never use (command line guy) so I'm not very familiar with that aspect of the console. Also, what kind of fixture is generally good for crowd blinders, as we just sold our two...

Using Selecon HUI cycs as groundrow and Altman Sky cycs as cyc tops

I'm so sorry, I now realize my estimates were waay off, thinking back I remember the pros is 23' high, but the width is about 70-80 feet wideEDIT: Pros width is only 50 feet but cyc extends about 10 feet outwards into the wings

Using Selecon HUI cycs as groundrow and Altman Sky cycs as cyc tops

Thanks, would there happen to be a rule for trim heights, as we have an automated fly system that is accurate to the millimeter. Also, unfortunately we are stuck with the fixtures we have, so would a frost serve my purposes better than a silk, say R100?

Using Selecon HUI cycs as groundrow and Altman Sky cycs as cyc tops

Hello, My school's auditorium recently underwent major rennovations, and with the renovations we recieved new lighting fixtures. Before the construction we used a set of six altman sky cycs to flood our cyclorama. Now we are using 5 Selecon HUI 3 cyc cells, and they only wash out the top...
