    Painting Saran Wrap?

Doing the pilot of Newsies. The entire set is wood painted to look like metal and rust. I've now been loaned some trussing that i can add as well, but i can't paint the trussing itself. My first thought was saran wrapping the trussing and painting that, but I'm concerned about chipping and...

    Table Saw

My shop doesn't have a table saw, and the construction is suffering for it. However, I've not got much space to put an actual table saw so I'm looking at the portable/job site table saws.My question for the group is, what have your experiences been with these portable types? Anything to look...

    Cooling the lighting booth

Air circulation is what I'll have to go with. Couple of fans as suggested to move the air around. I've got a decent amount of room so this should work...or at least keep the sweating to a minimum. Thanks all

    Cooling the lighting booth

It's built into the back wall of the auditorium, but it's got the racks in it and gets quite warm. There is a sprinkler in the booth, but the HVAC has to be turned off/down for performances due to noise.

    Cooling the lighting booth

Anybody have a good (quiet) fan they use to cool down their lighting booth? Mine routinely gets to 80 degrees during a show, and there's just not a ton of air circulation. Looking to buy, but really don't want to repeatedly buy fans.

    LED House Light Retrofit

Hello all, I am hoping to find retrofit LED lamps for my house lights. Attached are images of the lamps currently used. We are experiencing the fixtures getting so hot that a few wires have been melted through in some fixtures, as well as the base of the lamp snapping off from the rest of the...

    Stone Table Cracking in Half

I am picturing it cracking down the middle and both sides falling inward toward the center.

    Stone Table Cracking in Half

We are doing Lion, Witch, and Wardrobe for the fall play. The stone table is also doubling as the main set piece for the show and will be used for most of the show. The problem I'm coming up with is trying to figure out how to build the thing so the entire piece can crack in 2.Stone Table...

    Alternative lamps?

My school district has been buying the #FLK - 575 watt lamps for our ellipsoidals since before I've been working here, and I just cannot get decent life out of them. What's a good - cost-effective - replacement?

    Clear Com walkie issues

Color me incompetent, but I can't find the receiver for the comms in my amp racks. What exactly should I be looking for here?

    Clear Com walkie issues

My facility uses 8 wireless clear com WTR-670s with the CC-40s as headsets. They're roughly 6-7 years old and have been maintained very well from what I can tell. I've been noticing severe issues of cutting in and out, with the microphones not working sporadically. It seems if we play with...
