    Design Noises Off lighting design

I'm doing the design for Noises Off at my High School and I'm wondering if anyone has some tips. i was going to go with a basic R02 or R304, maybe R05 with R60. I was trying to look at colors on stage today (I didn't have any No Color Blue (60) so I used 63) but the blue was really bright...

Control/Dimming Help me pick a console!

Also, Just noticed someone above dogging using Leviton/NSI boards w/ intelligent fixtures. I have a Leviton 8724GX 24 slider model. The board is amazing, we have two intelligent fixtures right now and I have never had a problem using them wit this board, and anything we have used with other...

Control/Dimming Help me pick a console!

Hi. I was on the ETC website earlier today and noticed the "Show us your ETC" Contest, they are giving away an eos to the winner, and I was wondering if the eos would be right for my theatre. We have a 345 seat Proscenium style theatre, 2 battens over the house and 3 over stage. 300...

Or not. It's not actually wireless. we just replaced a series of pathport boxes in the booth with one ethernet cable. We talked to our Leviton guy. We fixed the problem.

    Light System Help

What can I say. i wasn't around when the remodel happened, somebody decided wifi would be really cool. And actually I think that originally everything was hardwired with a pathport system that we later replaced because it was deemed out of date and useless. From what I can gather it was quite up...

    Light System Help

We normally use the ethernet port which, I can assure you uses a wireless connection. The board in and of itself is not designed for wireless, it uses a wifi adapter that is screwed to the wall that it connects to via ethernet. There is one hardwired DMX port in the booth for an LCD control...

There is an ethernet port. That wirelessly connects to the equipment rack in the light closet. The only wired light control connection in the booth is for an LCD control panel, and there is only one so we still wouldn't have universe 2.

    Light System Help

From what i understood, we can control a maximum of 300 lights per universe. And I'm not totally sure how that works either. we are having a work day on tuesday and I will be able to get pictures of all the stuff. In the meantime this is the installation drawings for the system MEGAUPLOAD - The...

    Light System Help

First off, I couldn't get pictures today, I'll try again tomorrow.Second, one of the many things I've been told was to focus one one thing at a time. Do first I want to focus on the inner workings of the system. How DMX works and how the network communicates, I get the basic idea on gafftapers...

    Light System Help

So when you guys say frost are you talking about diffusers? I think it's the same. We have lenses and gels to do that and I love them and next year when I have control of the lighting I will use them.We just finished a run of Hairspray, and it was the first time we used the revolutions for an...

    Light System Help

I will get some pictures and post them. The wireless clear coms are mainly for the mobility issue. Our people backstage are having to constantly be off to go handle things, a wireless clear com would be great, and if the Sm could have one she could be talking anywhere in the theatre, and OUr...

And I forgot to add, We really want new wireless clear-coms, but they're extraordinarily expensive, any alternatives or suggestions on how to get them cheaper would be nice.

    Light System Help

Hi, I work at my high school which was just remodeled a few years ago. After the remodel we've been running an entirely new system that we've barely scratched the surface of. We've got a leviton system with a 8724GX Light board. All of it works great but we barely know how to use it. We don't...
