Wait, so you're powering a relay with a dimmer, and then turning power on/off to your fixtures by switching the relay??? This isn't gaining you anything, other than an added point of failure. What kind of dimmers do you have?
So I've got to ask something nobody thus far has: How often do you get a rider that is THAT specific about console AND code? If they care THAT much they'd carry a desk. If not, you can rent a board for that ONE show in the next three years that NEEDS the new version. I can't imagine any...
There is absolutely no "standard"....please keep in mind your parameters given are so incredibly vague as to be almost useless to getting the real answers you want. Is this a plot for a school that doesn't typically change (my presumption from how you asked the question)? Does the physical...
Type/programming of facility? Who operates it?I will say I _hate_ floor pockets. They're never where you need them to be/have the right combination of circuits/etc. Can't put a floor over them (dance or show deck) and still use them.
One of the best solutions I've seen: threaded pipe flanges welded to the top of the dimmer racks (one on top of each corner). Screw in pipe and add a couple cross pieces. Worked great for that production.
If you can either find enough wall circuits, or if you can change a bunch of dimmer cards to non-dims/constant current then you can use these:

What kind of control card does this dimmer pack have? MPE (the one with rotary dials to set the address), CEM (lots of buttons), CEM + (a couple buttons: up, down, "check", etc), or newer?
