Having worked in the Audio Visual industry as projectionist and video technician for many years, due to an unusual set of circumstances at one of my regular employers, I now find that lighting has been included into my duties. Nothing too major, it is a small venue with an ETC Smartfade board. I had to teach myself how to how to create and save a few looks for a recent jazz concert and had never used a modern light board before. My training was all at the High School level, more than 35 years ago, and on a 2 scene manual preset board. As I mentioned at the top, having lighting duties included in my job description is a new thing.

I will be reading posts hoping to pick up any tips I might find, if anyone has a suggestion for reading material, that would be great.
