So I am buying DMX cable and I will be running about 25 to 30 lights at weddings. All my lights are 3 pin XLR. I saw this DMX cable and wondered if this is pretty good. I just want to make sure I dont get any interferance as you can imagine how bad it would be if the lights started flashing...

So what you are saying is if the light is 3 pin xlr than it is not a good light to use for long distances and I should be getting one with 5 pin? This is not good as I have bought about 25 lights that were 500.00 each and they are 3 pin...

On my wallwasher their is a place for -, + , and shield, do I need to take some of the shield and screw it down to the shield terminal.

I am using 11 Wall Washers in my show and I ordered DMX cable with them. The cable only contains 2 wires, a solid blue and white with blue dots. How do I tell which one is the positive and which one is the negative. Also, I thought when running dmx/XLR, you use 3 wires...ThanksSloanhaus
