Control/Dimming Help me pick a console!

I think people over look PC based control, adding wings if needed. Its a damn site cheaper, personally I find programming on twin touch screens with a mouse faster than using a console. If you need tactile faders, add a wing.. Even with wings, its a lot cheaper than going with a console.

calling all boy scouts and sailors - knot help needed

You should use a taut line hitch. https://www.netknots.com/rope_knots/tautline-hitch for the adjustable knot. It will slide, but won't slip on its own. To tie to the top, a clove hitch with a half hitch to secure it.

Do I need to call in a professional to adjust hanging speakers?

Exactly what I was trying to convey. Changing the spread of the speakers could cause phase issues. Just because you have a "professional" advising you, doesn't mean its going to work. I have seen a lot of "professionals" screw up big time.

I need a portable lift platform to raise a Grand Piano 7' in the air.

What is overhead? Can you rig a trolley and hoist overhead. Sling it up is the easiest method but you would need the hoist on a trolley to lift the piano then move into place. A 1 ton hoist will lift almost any grand piano.

    Clevis Vs. Shackle Vs. Clevis . . . PLEASE define . . .

A clevis is a pin you can lock in place. A shackle has a clevis. A clevis is NOT a shackle, but a shackle has to have a clevis pin to work. I sail, we use a LOT of clevis's to attach stays etc on the boats, often at the end of a turnbuckle.
