Surround / Sound panning between several speakers in QLab?

Sorry, that was a stupid description. I don't actually want it to bounce randomly around. I just want to be able to be quick to set up the cue when the composer asks me if "what if we go from there, to there to there?"But pls send the script, or can you upload it here?

Surround / Sound panning between several speakers in QLab?

Right! So I make sort of one "template" (fade cue) for each "to"-speaker with the fade in/out curves, and create a group for every sound (cue) I'd like to pan here and there, and just rearrange the different fade-cues in that group in the order I'd want the sound to go from speaker 1, 2, 3 etc...

Surround / Sound panning between several speakers in QLab?

I'll be soon starting a production where the composer want the music/"sounds" to be able to "bounce" between four or six speakers. I see that I can use the built in matrix and route the sound to different outputs, but I guess I'd need to do a whole lot of fade-cues for the panning to work.For...

    Wireless Sennheiser EV100 G3 945

I'd rather have AF Out to 0 to have the signal at unity leaving the RX, than boosting the signal at the RX , and then maybe have to pad it at the console. Gain structure. 0 dB AF out and use the preamp in the console or rack, (or pad if needed) would be my tip.

Sound effect machine from stage for improvisors

You can look into the Stream Deck. You'd need a PC or Mac to hook it up to though, and some software to play the sounds, as it's just a remote. Super simple to set up and configure. But it has small LCD buttons.

Random Playlist based on Time of Day

You can do this easy peasy in Qlab. For instance, you can create several groups in the same workspace, each group contains the songs you want for evening/morning/afternoon etc. You then have cues which are triggered from the "wall clock" function, and set the groups to fire "childs" (the Qlab...

    Microphones Carrie Blood Drop

I'm currently touring a production which uses 10x of the Point Source CO8-WD https://www.point-sourceaudio.com/products/microphones/headset/co-8wd-omni/One month in rehearsals and one month on the road so far, not a single failure yet. IP57 rated. Boom bends with no hassle, make a 360 if you'd...

    Sound Board Placement

Ask them if they'd be willing to drive a car with a manual transmission from back in the baggage trunk. That's an analogy which resembles no speakers pointing with LOS to your ears. You can see how fast you're going on the speedometer and how much gas you've got left, that's about it.

How do you guys name your scenes/snapshots in the console?

Righty-O. Thanks. I also most often use a CL or QL. In CL/QL you can have a line with a "description", but you can't enter to much info there before it doesn't fit all the characters on the screen any more. When working on a Digico one can have snapshot notes up, which basically is a small...

How do you guys name your scenes/snapshots in the console?

So you're omitting the actual scenes in the script, then? Or?

How do you guys name your scenes/snapshots in the console?

I don't know many people doing theater where I live so I have't been able to "hang over someones-shoulder" So I've invented my own system. How do you do it?Every scene/snap in my console has the prefix of the same scene number in the script. For instance my first recall in scene 10 has the...

UB MADI multitrack recording - help

Let me add to this discussion that I'd rather download Waves' Tracks Live. Which is full out 100% free multitrack recording/playback DAW. Reaper has some bells and whistles comparing to what is needed for just a plain recording situation, and is 60 days free trial "only".In Tracks Live select...

Is there an "easy" solution to record multitrack and video for "virtual soundcheck"?

I haven't recieved a singel waving finger about this. The theatre do it all the time, and it's a state funded theatre. Some times lights want a video, some times costumes want a video..and sometimes audio. We just ask for a camera and get it set up.But we all do understand that this it not...

Is there an "easy" solution to record multitrack and video for "virtual soundcheck"?

I'm not on that level at all. The video is just recorded onto a SD-stick, then I just transfer it to my computer. The camera is just a Bob Saget home video camera. I just look for a spike of sound in the video recording and my multitrack and manually align them from there.
