Coz the bed is not very big and we r doing the show ina very small studio theatre...that cannot be done but thanks : ) I once made a fax machine out of paper box and let a kid hide so he can push the fax out : ) and the fax machine mysteriously move during scene change lol Eventually we tried...

Thanks guys...I am sorry to say Footer's option is a bit out of our budget..we only have like approx $50 for it...but we have connections so we might try borrowing sprung castors from our fellow techies.

I am doing a production about a gay man's life and death of his innocence. In the last scene, the gay man's lover will push a bed with rope lights inside to the stage from the rear, and the gay man and his lover would leap onto it and have sex. The problem here is, the bed is on wheels so...

Riding the flys!? If he's in Hong Kong (which has a very small theatre community), he'd be banned from ANY shows ever after and all the venue technicians, SMs, flysmen will be telling his story to young crews as a 'dun do it' example.

I was ASM for High School Musical On Stage, and the choreographer taught us the last bit of the finale dance and we backstage crews showed up in the finale and dance and bow together with the casts...it was fun but it's not the usual practice here, plus the senior crews and technicians stayed...

Hi, in my grad project of my theatre diploma programme, we have huge sets and it's not like the SM can attend every building sessions, but still we feel fine (I am the DSM). I think the art here is more about delegating. Say, if the rehearsal and the building session occur at the same time...

Someone taught me a knot that can be untied with one single pull but also strong...but I forgot it!!! (Have been away from draperies for too long while spending my time with wrenches and cables..) Anyone can tell me what is it or suggest a good one?
